Where exactly are you based?
Surfiy is based in the vibrant area of Canggu, North Kuta. We have direct access to some of Bali's most reliable reef and beach breaks, perfect for both beginners and experienced surfers.
Is Bali suitable for surf students all year?
Absolutely. Bali is one of the world's most consistent surfing destinations. Depending on the season and daily conditions, we choose the safest and most enjoyable spots to ensure you get the best experience.
How do your sessions differ from regular schools?
We focus on quality over quantity. Our minimalist editorial approach means structured instruction, 1-on-1 focus, and professional feedback that respects your individual learning rhythm and the spirit of the ocean.

What's included in my lesson?
Fully Equipped
Every session includes a high-quality surfboard, leash, zinc sun protection, and a fresh rash guard. We also provide water and local surf theory before hitting the waves.

How long do lessons last?
2-Hour Sessions
A standard session lasts 2 hours, including beach theory and in-water coaching. It's the perfect amount of time to learn without absolute exhaustion.
Do I need to be a strong swimmer?
Water Confidence
You don't need to be an Olympic swimmer, but comfort in the water is essential. Lessons take place in safe depths for beginners.
Can I book a private group?

Yes! We offer private group packages for friends and families. It's a great way to learn together with a dedicated local instructor.
What should I bring?

Just your swimwear, a towel, and a sense of adventure. We've got the rest covered, including zinc to protect you from the Bali sun.

Is the surfboard included in my lesson?
Absolutely. We provide high-quality boards for all levels, from soft-top foamies for beginners to performance boards for advanced surfers.
What protective gear do you provide?
Safety is high priority. Every student receives a fresh UV-protection rash guard to keep your skin protected in the tropical water.
Can I rent gear for independent practice?
Yes! We have a dedicated rental fleet at our Canggu base, perfect for those who want to practice their pop-ups after a morning lesson.
What personal items should I bring?
Just bring your swimwear, a dry towel, and ocean-friendly sunscreen. We take care of all the technical kit so you're ready to hit the waves.
Safety First
Are your instructors trained?
Yes, our Surfiy head instructor is ISA Level certified and trained in advanced first aid and ocean rescue to ensure your complete safety while in the Bali swell. All additional instructors have extensive experience from working in established surf camps and are selected for their skills, safety awareness, and teaching ability.
What safety equipment is provided?
We provide high-buoyancy soft-top boards for beginners, SPF 50+ rash guards, and adjustable leg ropes that are maintained to strict professional standards.
How do you assess daily ocean conditions?
Every lesson begins with a live swell and tide assessment. We only take students into the water when the conditions are matched perfectly to their skill level.
What are the emergency procedures?
We have strict emergency protocols, including constant shore-side communication and on-site first aid kits. Nevertheless surfing is an extreme sport and involves inheritent risks. While safety is always a priority, we recommend that all participants have their own valid medical insurance coverage.
Booking & Payments
How do I book a surf session?
Booking is simple: navigate to our booking page, select your desired date and lesson type, and follow the checkout steps. For immediate confirmation or custom requests, feel free to reach out via WhatsApp.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfers made through Wise, Revolut, and Indonesian bank transfers (IDR). If you prefer to pay at the base, we also accept cash in both IDR and major foreign currencies at current exchange rates.
What is your cancellation policy?
As sessions are usually paid on the day, we do not have a formal cancellation policy.
However, we kindly ask that you inform us at least 24 hours in advance if you are unable to attend your lesson.
For surf trips, any costs already incurred must be covered in full by the participant if the trip is not cancelled at least 7 days in advance.

Absolutely. If you need to reschedule your session, please let us know at least 24 hours in advance.
